Lemon Sauce

1/2 cup sugar
1 TBS cornstarch
2 TBS lemon juice
A few grains of salt
2 TBS butter
1 1/4 cups boiling water
Grated lemon rind

Grate off a little lemon rind and add to water. Boil for 5 minutes.

Mix together cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Add water gradually, stirring constantly. Return to saucepan and cook until thickened. Turn to low heat and cook 5 minutes longer.

Remove from heat. Add lemon juice and butter. Serve hot.
